DANEJA MENTALE - BABY [MAXI-SINGLE]

For the first time ever on SOUL MAFIA ENTERPRISES, here's the track that sparked the fuse on 2010's "The Common Ground Experience". "Baby" almost never saw the light of day, for if anybody ever noticed, radio-friendly songs are Daneja's low points. However, this last-minute idea worked and pushed the album up the underground charts. This special maxi-single also contains the "Stripped-Down Mix" which was recently featured on "Real Hip Hop: The Best Of Daneja Mentale" and 2 bonus tracks from the albums "Dark Waters", "Home Is Where The Hate Is" and an unreleased mix of "Get This Work".

Tracklisting:
  1. Baby (Clean)
  2. Baby (Explicit)
  3. Representin' (RMX-feat Nice aka J Mack & Royale) (from "Dark Waters") %
  4. One (from "Home Is Where The Hate Is") +

DANEJA MENTALE - "MOTIVATION"

"Motivation" was recorded no less than a month after the release of "Redemption: Home Is Where The Hate Is Pt. 2". With this song circulating online, it hinted at another album in the works. Although this was indeed a new song; it actually wasn't planned for a placement on a new album. It was supposed to be set for the re-release/remastering of "Redemption", but however due to the master recordings being lost with a stolen external drive, the remastering and re-release was cancelled. In the meantime new songs were written and recorded for the album which would originally be entitled "Code Reality" (now re-titled "Me & My Music"). A remix of "Motivation" featuring J. Brown and Sparqklipz is in the works.

J BROWN & KAIJI (IN STEREO) - HOMAGE

Homage is collaborative effort by emcees J. Brown & Kaiji (In Stereo) paying tribute to those who paved a way musically and historically. Brown and Kaiji (In Stereo) met through Daneja Mentale, and shortly began exchanging verses on one another's projects. The two discovered they had done so many songs together, they decided to do something official, and it became Homage. J. Brown representing Union City, Tennessee and Kaiji (In Stereo) representing Chicago, Illinois add elements of soul, lyricism, and the origins of peace, love, and unity. Homage represents what music means to them, and how it has changed their lives for the better. Homage allows the audience to go back into time, and remember when music used to mean something.

QUAD CONTROL STATION - PULSE

It has been since Quad Control Station recorded "Bass Xpo 2006: The Low Decibel Theory" which found an official release in 2010. A lot has changed but some things remain the same. "Pulse" is more of a throwback to "Bass Xpo 2001" and "The Sound Barrier", which is half dance and half Euro-Techno Bass. Some selections were produced during the unreleased "Bass Xpo 2008" sessions. Those titles are: "Ultrasonic (Big Beat Blaster)", "Intergalactic" and "Blue Water". New tracks like "Crash" is more Rave than Techno, but is placed well between "Electric City" and "Da Bottom". The track listing plays like a soundtrack of a science-fiction (tracks 1-6)-romance (tracks 7-12) thriller (tracks 14 & 15), without missing a step. Enjoy this now cause it may be a while before another one drops.

Track-listing:

  1. Intro: They Have Returned
  2. Pulse
  3. Electric City
  4. Crash
  5. Da Bottom
  6. House Bounce II
  7. Asian Sunrise
  8. Intergalactic
  9. Blue Water
  10. Raindown
  11. Heartbeats
  12. Midnight Episodes
  13. Ultrasonic (Big Beat Blaster)
  14. Deep
  15. Zone Out

DANEJA MENTALE - REDEMPTION: HOME IS WHERE THE HATE IS PT. 2

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!

Originally planned as an EP in 2010, "Redemption..." was plagued with many delays due to computer crashes, lost verses, personal issues and changes in production personnel. The original plan, just as the idea of the unreleased "Listen Closely Vols. 1 & 2" was to have various producers and guests on staff. However many of the connections failed to respond or contribute any submissions for the project. Producers Alexis Carrington, Don Beezy, and Dr+ sent beats for the new album, but only one made it to the album. The one track submitted by Dr+ turned into the street banger "Go Hard" featuring Monsta Music emcee Nice. Daneja Mentale produces the rest of the album, switching up from street jams to songs of inspiration. Unlike the original "Home Is Where The Hate Is" of 2006, more guests jump on board. The album also features verses from J. Brown, Kaiji In Stereo, Syke Pachino (aka Syko Rah), Bone Breaker of Phasnicks, Chaundon (formally of Hall Of Justus/Justus League), JFK, Lu Chin Chen, singer Toya Brown, poet Mentally Armed, Royal Entry, Cosmo, and Sparqklipz. Songs like "The Dear Jane Letter", "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone" and "Lady" are self-explanatory. "Dreams Of Confusion", "Redemption" and "Visions" vent out Daneja's personal demons and inner feelings. "United" marks the first time in Def For Life/SME history where many of the key artists ever performed on one track together. Backed by a haunting and dark sped-up sample courtesy of Adele's "Hometown Glory"; all verses flow together as if they were written in the session. Daneja wraps up the album with "Full Circle". On this track Daneja speaks on issues of dealing with the ups and downs of trying to be discovered. Some tracks on here were originally from "Listen Closely" ("Get This Work", "Head To The Sky" and "Visions"). "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone" was slated for "The Common Ground Experience" but the lyrics came up missing until a year later. This album will be last of any newly recorded material from Daneja Mentale (At least that's what we've been told).

TRACK LISTING:

  2. Go Hard (feat. Nice) - 2:23

QUAD CONTROL STATION - LOST BEATS [EP]

Later in the year, maybe around the Summer Q.C.S. drops a new EP entitled "Pulse". Until then here are some tracks that were once considered to be lost in 2003. I guess you can say "Lost Tracks" is an appropriate title for this EP. These tracks were originally produced for the album "Bass XPO Vol.3" but were erased due to computer malfunction. Luckily the tracks did exist due to analogue processing. This will explain the quality of the EP. The only track that actually survived the deletion was "Drop", which did land on "Bass XPO Vol. 3".

Track listing:

  1. Ignite
  2. O.M.M.F. (Original version of New Millennium Pimp)
  3. Old School Bass
  4. 100MPH
  5. Feelin' Good (Original version of Ecstasy
  6. Drop (Original Mix)
  7. WTH
  8. Hardcore Bass
  9. Jeep Beats
