ROYAL ENTRY - LYRICAL MASTERMIND VOL. 1: THE BIRTH OF ENTRY

Royal Entry (born Harold Cottingham, 1986 in Milton, Florida) is an Emcee from North Carolina. He began his journey as a lyrical Emcee at the age of 6. Using the struggles he had to face as Energy, he found a way to say what was on his mind through music. At the age of 14, he developed the name of Royal Entry, meaning, overcoming struggles and standing alone as a king. At the age of 15, he started a group known as S.Y. (Street Yungstaz) with members Jemini, Ace of Spadez, Ziggy Zel, and P.11. At the age of 16, the Street Yungstaz broke up and Royal Entry became a member of S.O.D. (Seeds of Deception) but it was short lived. Royal Entry Was Dropped due to creative differences. Due to the problems with his family, at the age of 18, Royal Entry was forced to live on the streets. During this time he began a friendship with a local producer named Loki. With Royal Entry's lyrical gift, and the passion Loki put into his beats, Royal Entry felt as if he found his calling. As the door to the hip-hop industry opens, Royal Entry is showing the world that he is going to be known as one of the illest emcees to step in the game

DANEJA MENTALE - THE COMMON GROUND EXPERIENCE

THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER! "The Common Ground Experience" has arrived. The first album from Daneja Mentale in 4 years. The original 2 disc/44-track project "Listen Closely: Rhymes & Beats/The Art of Expression" was shelved due to lukewarm reviews. Some complained about the length of the albums and the lack of singles. This album, at first was just a secret between Daneja and J. Brown. "Listen Closely" (Vols. 1 & 2) were set to be the last albums of new material. According to J. Brown, this album wasn't to be recorded until new life experiences were faced in Daneja's personal life. Notably, something has changed during the process of this album because it can be heard here. The album touches on life ("Only Human"), love ("Baby"), pain ("Atmosphere") and of course Hip Hop. Daneja sounds very defensive on tracks such as "No Matter What Is Takes" and "Dumb Down". A stellar guest appearance by Ant B (of P.R.O.S.) on "Dumb Down" makes a lasting impression. Though Daneja steps a little out of his comfort zone by singing!!!!! (yikes!), he still manages to bring a hit with the emotionally bitter "Crash & Burn". Another change is less profainity (only 6 out of 14 tracks are explicit). There is more social commentary-laced material here, but it doesn't come off as preachy. "World Premiere" is a Hip Hop Tour De-Force, featuring great verses from L.E.G.A.C.Y. (of the Justus League), J. Brown, Cosmo (formerly of Renegunn) and Boogie Bamm (from 99+1 Productions). No hooks, just raw lyrics to go. Other notables are the two spoken word inserts, a R&B/Jazz-influenced instrumental("Joby's Theme"), and the East Coast-inspired "Afterwords" featuring newcomer Kaiji In Stereo. Many people have previewed the album giving it a thumbs up. Some reviewed it as Daneja's best album since 2006's "Home Is Where The Hate Is".

QUAD CONTROL STATION -"BASS XPO VOLUME 3"

Now before you say... "Volume 3?!... What happened to Volume 2?" I must remind you that the first Bass Xpo came out in 1994 on cassette. By no means will it ever be released on CD, ha! But anyway... after the release of "Bass Xpo 2001", "Vol. 3" was released after the very disappointing release of 2002's "New Quad Order" (That album sucked so bad that I won't even review it. I'll post the cover and tracklist later). But anyway, Vol. 3 contains the hits: "Ecstasy", "Prisoner of Lust", "The Big Beat", "Reset", "Relax" (an internet favorite), "Aftermath", "DMT's Megamix" (my favorite) and the Jam Master Jay tribute "R.I.P.J.M.J."
