The new "best of" compilation picks up where the first one ("Real Hip Hop: The Best of Daneja Mentale") left off. Majority of the tracks are from the now-released "Listen Closely" volumes of 2009 and "Redemption: Home Is Where The Hate Is". Three tracks are from the double album "Dark Waters", two are from "Home Is Where The Hate Is". Only one track was included from "Music From The Vaults: The Recluse". Also featured as a bonuses are "Focus", which is featured on J. Brown's debut "Heaven & A Gun" and an unreleased remix of "The Stupids". Additional production is featured by Alexis Carrington, Dr+, Remo Da Produca and Ki Of NC.

"Listen Closely Vol. 2: The Art of Expression" is the 2nd and final... yes final chapter in the series. "The Art of Expression" displays emotions from happiness to anger. This 2 CD set is Daneja's most focused project to date. That doesn't mean that it comes without filler tracks, but they fill the album just right. Another thing that stands out here is the production from new producers. This is a first for Daneja (previous albums were co-produced by other producers).

"Listen Closely Vol. 1: Rhymes & Beats" the new album from Daneja Mentale! is here! Be sure to look out for "Listen Closely Vol. 2: The Art of Expression". The 2nd and final... yes final chapter in the 2 part series. "Rhymes & Beats" is dedicated to one man's devoted love of Hip Hop. "The Art of Expression" displays emotions from happiness to anger. This is Daneja's most focused project to date. That doesn't mean that it comes without filler tracks, but they fill the album just right. Another thing that stands out here is the production from new producers. This is a first for Daneja (previous albums were co-produced by other producers). The tracks that make this CD an enjoyable listen are "Hustler's Withdrawal"- produced by Alexis Carrington, "Place Ya Bets" - produced by Rem, and "Spit Your Game" - produced by Daneja himself. Words from Daneja Mentale:
It was in 2001 when I first heard of NME Wreckidz and came across a few raw joints. I was so hooked that I downloaded about 4 CDs worth of music (by the way I still have them lol). In the mix of the songs I played, there were two that I bumped constantly. They were "Social Butterfly" (can't remember the artist, sorry) and "Money" by no other than Lu Chin Chen. And just like a stalking [not really] fan, I tried to find EVERYTHING this dude made lol. In other words, I had become a BIG fan. A couple of years later after moving out on my own, MySpace was the big deal of social media networking. This is when I came across the official page of my now, homie,  producer Mr. Dilligence (aka Dillz... That's what I call him). Fast-foward to 2011, after bugging Dillz for years of Lu's whereabouts, he finally linked me up with him and we instantly clicked and collaborated on my previous album "Redemption: Home Is Where The Hate Is Pt. 2". This dude is more than just an emcee, he's a great brother in rhyme.

Thank God for MP3.com, for without searching for free music to download (during the Napster glory days), Soul Mafia Enterprises would have never come across one of the illest emcees and one of the rawest producers in the game. Welcome to the family, Lu!

For the first time ever on SOUL MAFIA ENTERPRISES, here's the track that sparked the fuse on 2010's "The Common Ground Experience". "Baby" almost never saw the light of day, for if anybody ever noticed, radio-friendly songs are Daneja's low points. However, this last-minute idea worked and pushed the album up the underground charts. This special maxi-single also contains the "Stripped-Down Mix" which was recently featured on "Real Hip Hop: The Best Of Daneja Mentale" and 2 bonus tracks from the albums "Dark Waters", "Home Is Where The Hate Is" and an unreleased mix of "Get This Work".

DANEJA MENTALE - "MOTIVATION"

"Motivation" was recorded no less than a month after the release of "Redemption: Home Is Where The Hate Is Pt. 2". With this song circulating online, it hinted at another album in the works. Although this was indeed a new song; it actually wasn't planned for a placement on a new album. It was supposed to be set for the re-release/remastering of "Redemption", but however due to the master recordings being lost with a stolen external drive, the remastering and re-release was cancelled. In the meantime new songs were written and recorded for the album which would originally be entitled "Code Reality" (now re-titled "Me & My Music"). A remix of "Motivation" featuring J. Brown and Sparqklipz is in the works.
